Confirmed from Chubb Trail — West Tyson Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

Amazing Trail system!!! I wish the Chubb Enduro features would be left open year around. Besides that, so worth coming to ride, or hike. There are some beautiful visuals of God's work out here. Thank you to everyone involved in the maitanence, and creating of these trails. They are brilliant!

It’s moderate but tail has lot of stones. One needs to be careful when hiking after rain. Please watch out for switch back after 1.5 mile in to trail otherwise you may head into private property. We did Chubb trail plus lone elk trail loop. Great place to hike in fall colors.

★★★★★ — Srinivasa , Oct 2025

A hidden gem between bustling cities that's a moderate hike. It's at the end of a road of campsites and very low-key with amenities, but not busy, even in the evening. There is only a single port-a-potty; I wish areas like these would just put in a composting toilet.

Great trail but hard to follow without previous knowledge or GPS if you are intending to do the full trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 7 mentions

“This trail is somewhat tough, but good if you're training for climbing / rough rocky terrain.”
