Biking and walking and hiking trails. Beautiful views. Excellent star-gazing and cottontails, deer, skunk, rattle snakes, tarantulas, quail, roadrunner and more. There is also a nice park for the kids to run and have fun
This urban park is a must-visit for anyone seeking an adventure. The desert-inspired trails wind through towering cacti and offer stunning views of the city skyline. I was amazed at how quickly I could escape the hustle and bustle of the city and feel like I was in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for a quick getaway!
The park looks useful enough, but this place is memorable to me as the trailhead that starts a good journey to the old El Paso Tin Mines. It's about a 6-7 mile round trip trek to the abandoned mines. Lots of folks out even on a Monday hiking and biking the trails.
We started our hike to the tin mine from the trailhead at the park. Beautiful entrance, don’t forget to pay your entrance fee at the drop box before you enter. The hike was great, it’s not a short one so beware, bring plenty of water and probably a snack. We did not and were hangry when we got back to the Jeep.
