Confirmed from City of Palm Desert Joe Mann Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“This park has a fenced off area specifically set up for your dogs to run and play, a quiet rose garden, a playground, basketball courts and a volley ball court.”

Fairly well maintained and clean park, though it sits pretty close to California st. There is a gate surrounding the park, so it is safe, but there can be a bit of traffic noise at times. Cool sand volleyball court, also a basketball court. Plenty of outdoor bbq areas with covered picnic tables.

★★★★☆ — Kevin , Aug 2017

Nice city park with sand volleyball/basketball courts, a silent reflection area/rose garden, large and small dog area, and a few jungle gyms. The playground area is shaded and appropriate for multiple age groups, and there are restrooms available.

★★★★☆ — Anthony , Jan 2022

It's a very good park to take a walk with dogs on the well-organized grass. It's near the golf course, so it's less dust, you can have a picnic table and a babeku, there are benches everywhere, and it's a children's playground, so it's a good place to take a family break.

★★★★☆ — Kai , Apr 2023

Love the dog park! The Rose Garden is neat. Playground is adequate for the children and definitely enough grass for them to run around on. There's even a beach volleyball court. Lovely intimate park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
