Confirmed from La Quinta Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What a neat park now for the entire family! Not as super-sized as the Palm Desert city park but still fun. Recent landscaping improvements have increased the trees with new plantings and a much needed retaining wall along the paved sidewalk. The coolest part is the kids fountains area with waterworks that ca.

Kids had a blast at the water fountain ⛲ area for the kiddos. **Update** They have updated the water fountain area for the kids, all new area for the kids to play. I came here about 7 am to walk my dog, and it was a pleasant morning for it.

★★★★☆ — Rita , Mar 2024

This is a nice large park to take a walk around it. They have baseball fields, basketball courts and a kids park. There is also an excercise area and a skate board park. They do not have a dog park but lots of room to walk your dog.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
