Confirmed from Clark Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I’m giving this a 5 star ⭐️ because this trail walk has been a sacred place for me and my family over the last 15 years. If you are looking for a trail you can take the family, walk your dog, get away from the world locally or have a picnic, this is it!

25jan2021 ~10:30 while driving along SE 240th St, i noticed a ~6 vehicles parked in a small lot .. Being a little inquisitive, i stopped by the large sign which indicated that there's Clark Lake Park. i parked my vehicle, and there's parking spaces availabe for 2 or 3 vehicles.

One of the best dog parks to go. Beautiful and relaxing. This park has 2 parts. On the right, nice and wooded. On the left, open field. A nice park to get away and just listen to the wind. Never crowded. Several benches throughout the park to sit down and relax or read a book. This park is so serene.

A hidden gem in Kent. If you look for it, there's a trail that goes all the way around this small lake. The parking lot is small, so this park never really gets too crowded. It is a perfect place for a nice walk. We always bring our picnic basket with us for a nice, quiet lunch in one of the many meadows.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Clark Lake Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
