Confirmed from Crosby Commons' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Crosby Commons
“They allow pets, dogs specifically, and they even provide poop bags for you to clean up after your dog with waste cans to put your dogs waste in.”
“Beautiful, accessible, relaxing, music playing over speakers, picnic, walking track, stroll, run, walk, etc.”
Love it. Not many small towns have invested in such a beautiful place for the community but Picayune did so! Amphitheatre, well lit, walking track, 24hr music from well placed speakers, clean and safe. Well done, Picayune.
I came here from Jackson, many more walking/jogging trails around Jackson, but none better. Good job Picayune, I also like the $25.00 charge for ‘key’ to restroom. $25.00 a year is fair price for hospital clean restrooms. Keeps juvenile delinquents out.
My wife and I travelled here because we heard that it recently opened. We wanted to get a little bit of relaxing cardio in and thought this would be the perfect place. We started walking the decently sized track and noticed that Michael Buble followed us everywhere we walked.
Would give 5 stars but the grass needs some TOO. Love going for my walks/runs here. Feels safer than walking in a residential area because it's fenced and police patrol. They also have community events. Speakers around trail play a good variety of music. Restrooms available but stay locked most of the time.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
