Confirmed from Crystal Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This rustic locale with forests, trails & a lake offers fishing, horseback riding & bird-watching.

We visited Crystal Lake Park for the first time today and are happy we did! The park is so pretty. The trails are very well maintained and had more elevation change than we expected! Up and down and through the woods... Even over some bridges and boardwalks. Thale facilities were very nice.
The lake itself is lovely, and there are plenty of spots to sit, relax, or even have a small picnic. We saw ducks by the water and kids playing happily — it’s perfect for families or even just a solo walk to clear your mind.
Nice park with paved trail. Short ride but connected to the heritage trail where we rode to Bordentown and on to another trail along a creek which was nice. We did 20 mles total.
Burlington county has hit a homerun with this park. The trails are clear and wide. The lake is “crystal” clear with fishing permitted. There are pavilions and bathrooms. Horse back riders can be often seen on the trails. A don’t miss for hikers and cyclist. A Hidden Gem in Bordentown!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
