Confirmed from Dark Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This adventure and hike truly became a hidden blessing. I was fully able to enjoy the route and had my photo taken as a cried seeing the amazing views. Being able to build me memories in Utah is a major blessing and I am just so taken by the beauty this hike had to offer!!

Its a pretty sweet trail not steep at all. Goes through the mountains, hills, whatever you want to call it. It's a park where you need to pay during the on season. Pretty sure its from April to October, but you'll see the months when you get there.

This hike was amazing. My daughter and i wnjoyed the walk. The only problem is coming home to several mosquitoe bites all over the body. Use bug spray for this walk.

★★★★★ — Eric , Jul 2020

It's a fairly shaded but boring hike. It's great with little kids. You can park on the right before the toll booth and walk through to save some $.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
