Confirmed from Settlement Canyon Reservoir Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I may be biased because of all of the memories I have at settlement canyon, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. There is a small parking lot outside the gate. You can walk in for no fee. You can also drive in for a small fee during certain hours and seasons.

Pretty access point to nature so close to the city! The reservoir is higher this year making it a great getaway for all kinds of recreational activities (no swimming or watercraft allowed, however.

I have been a regular hiker and camper here for decades. There are several trails that are maintained and walked often. There are also paid campsites with tables and fire pits. There are also several more primitive spots with no tables. And there are several RV spots with cement pads for dry docking.

I love you fish here even when I don't catch anything! Whether you live in or around Tooele City l and/or county it is a grwat place to hike around the reservior or in the canyon Itself; it is a great place to get away from it all. Just keep in mind about few things: now swimming, floating, or boating of any kind.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
