This is a great place to hike IF you can find it! GPS led us just short of the destination so I’m writing to help anyone else out who is struggling. Keep driving all the way down Washburn Rd. (Past the “No outlet” sign), until you can’t drive anymore and it’s on the right after a small curve.
Hike back here all the time, tons of great trails marked with color coordinated points, great for horseback riding, multiple bad eagles out here
Large unspoiled land, fairly hilly. Very low traffic, lots of hiking trails.
Difficult trails for hiking. Use caution and a trekking pole or two as well. Great for gaining experience in climbing and descending steep hills. Watch out for gullies! Porta potties available at Deadman Hill and Equestrian Park entrances. Recommend a GPS of some sort as the trails are not well marked.
