Confirmed from Deep Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park with several ball fields, a dog run, playground, walking trail & picnic/grilling areas.
What runners say about Deep Creek Park
“It's spacious, clean and sometimes in the summer it has a XL water bowl and running water.”
“This is centrally located, safe, and very kid and family friendly.”
“Beautiful park with two playgrounds, a dog park, walking lane, baseball and soccer fields.”
Solid park to get out and stretch the legs or have a picnic. Has a nice walking trail, multiple playgrounds (one is getting an overhaul it looks like), ball fields and bathrooms throughout. Appears dog friendly with tons of room for one to run around.
Wow! Ok so this place is huge. About a two mile perimeter walk. Clean an massive fields for activities. A dog park that is clean. It has two playgrounds, four baseball fields, three soccer fields, a near two mile almost flat gravel path. Will be going here more often!
Very nice park, great area for the kids, baseball field, trail to walk or run, covered area for get togethers, and I enjoy taking my dog to the dog park here. It's spacious, clean and sometimes in the summer it has a XL water bowl and running water. (I usually bring water just in case)
One of the most fun, innovative, creative play ground/play areas I have ever encountered. Includes a percussion area, puzzles and patterns, a "walk around" book reading stations along with innovative playground equipment.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
