Confirmed from Del Valle Ridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Del Valle Ridge Trail
“Super fun for biking, its a challenge but its awesome, very beautiful place for watching the sunset”
Beautiful views, first time. Took the non lake view trail and finished the east ridge loop in 1 hour, on del valle rd on the way to 9323, pretty peaceful
One of the best trails so far. Definitely recommended for mountain biking and hiking. Get some fresh air, has lake and on top of trails. Get some sweet going uphill. For mountain biking, I recommend ebikes if you're like me. Has to drive almost 2 hours so with ebikes it's worth to ride more trails.
This is a local's go-to. Great trails where some offer shade, while most have you walking in the open. Bring water with you.
Great place to hike! If you go down to the lake there is a large bbq area and picnic tables.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
