One of the dogs’ favorite trails. I call this a lollipop trail: follow the stick to a loop, follow the loop in either direction, and return on the stick. It took us 39 minutes today at Siberian Husky speed. Other dogs may take longer.
Great hike for those who may be visiting and are not used to hiking. Very easy but also beautiful. Takes less than an hour to to. Note: Parking can sometimes be difficult to find, if you are up for it you can park at St.Johns College and walk up to the trailhead which is a 10 minute or so walk.
Saw some horses walking up the path. Breathed some amazing fresh air. Walked amongst thawing snow, plenty of trees, and hilly landscape. What more could you ask for? It’s a shorter trail but so worth it. The parking area is very limited so be prepared for that!
Just a hop and a skip from the city proper, a short trail with beautiful views of the desert framed by the forest. Wonderful anytime of the year, even winter.
