We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of East Hampton Duck Pond yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about East Hampton Duck Pond

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (36 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

A favorite of ours, we visit as often as we can. It's a nice place to sit for a cup of coffee or take a stroll. The trails are very short and loop back around. It's rarely busy here, even in the summer!

★★★★★ — Suzanne , Mar 2024

Nice, short hike with opportunities to see lots of wildlife and an easy on a well maintained trail. Try to go on a day where it’s been a bit drier, otherwise your shoes may get muddy (especially if you are going with kids)! Parking can also be a bit challenging, but often clears out in a few minutes.

★★★★★ — S , Jul 2025

A beautiful spot with short walking paths perfect for kiddos. Lots to see including ducks/ducklings, Red-Winged Black Birds, Common Grackles, Cardinals, turtles, frogs, and snails.

★★★★★ — Molly , Jun 2025

Peaceful and enjoyable 30 minute walk along a marsh filled with ducks, bullfrogs, and possibly other critters. Great way to start the day and catch some quick glimpses of the amazing homes on the way there if they aren’t blocked off by privacy hedges.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
