Confirmed from Inlet Pond County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil outdoor space featuring a beach, a pond and views of Long Island Sound.
What runners say about Inlet Pond County Park
“Incredible beach, lovely trails, beautiful birds at the entrance.”
“A lovely well marked walk with lovely trees, birds, inlet and beach.”
“Secluded beach with calm, clear water.”
You pull into what looks like a private, red house, and then you can head into the woods from several path options. Cannot recommend this place enough, we went on a bright fall day and didn't see another soul.
This place is a hidden gem! More of a walk than a hike but pretty views and gorgeous beach. However there are so many ticks. My fiancé I and our dog were covered when we were done. So if you do go make sure you wear long pants and cover yourself as much as possible.
really nice park; dogs are allowed on leash. trails are generally well marked, but pay attention. some beach access, tho be careful to stay on the public property. lots of signs about ticks, so come prepared. parking limited but not too bad.
Absolutely beautiful! The views were amazing. Watch your dogs! My dog, who stayed on the leash and didn’t go off the path, was covered in ticks. I had a few on my sweatshirt and pants as well.
