We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Edison Trails Hike yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Short, kid-friendly hiking area that's good for a daily workout.
What runners say about Edison Trails Hike
“Nice, peaceful, quiet, it takes you through a hillside of a neighborhood alongside the electrical towers, so it's not as nature-y or challenging, but a easy stroll.”
I really enjoyed my first time hiking. It's a little hard for beginners, but if I got thought it, you can too!
Small gem of open space for the residents of Monterey Park... especially for those in the eastern part. This is a short trail in between houses and below power lines that the city maintains to a semi-wild standard. Great for walks, jogs, and pets.
Three separate connected trails. Moderate hike, maybe 20 minute hike. Dirt trail but not dusty. Nice trailhead park for kids or lunch. Walking sticks recommend as it has several steep grades.
Mostly dirt trails with a couple of side trails through the grass. Poop bags are usually stocked, but the fountains are gross.
