Confirmed from La Loma Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about La Loma Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (329 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Beautiful secluded super clean park, parking spots right next to it, never crowded, I only gave it 4🌟 because the restrooms aren't unlocked the whole time .”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Very nice shaded area and it was very cool at 5pm in the summer heat.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“Its very calm and not that well known unless you live in the area.”

Beautiful park that is located at the end of the Edison trails, but also connects to it. Nice playground for the kids to play, two big baseball fields, open field with wild life, with rabbits that are frequently seen throughout the park. The times that I have visited the park the restrooms were clean and stocked.

My Belgian Mal puppy loves this park. She likes running up and down the hill playing fetch. It’s great because she has so much energy to burn. Also it’s not so crowded when we go so she can let loose and have fun. If there’s a lot of people she’s on guard mode and watches her surroundings a lot.

I love this park! Its very calm and not that well known unless you live in the area. I always come here with my dogs and enjoy the quietness and the lack of people. Theres even a little hiking trail to connects you to the park on Garfield.

La Loma Park Trails is a great place to begin your journey in hiking or crossed country. You'll love the views and decent clear air away from the L.A. Metropolitan area. Highly recommend for starters.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
