Confirmed from El Dorado Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Playground with sport courts & fields, a jogging path & multiple picnic areas for get-togethers.
What runners say about El Dorado Park
“El Dorado Park is clean and peaceful to take your children to play, have a picnic, walk, & celebrate birthday's.”
It's a great park very nice we're you could go walking n walk ur dogs n take ur kids to the playground very big n u could have a party there n they have restrooms to
This place hasn't changed much since my now 14 year-old used to play here. Now we both enjoy watching her siblings 1 and 2 play here. Love the big fields and the abundant trees, like a park should be. You will always see someone walking or running around the park or riding a bike.
We have enjoyed the nature park much more as seniors. We use it for our walking for the day. The trail offers you a mile or two mile loop. The two mile loop takes you around the lake. Birds and squirrels are found. The last year we had Canadian geese staying in the park. They also offer a quarter mile paved loop.
Great walking trail and place to have a family get together. Lots of space. And bbqs basketball courts and baseball fields. Bathrooms are ok. Except the ones on the far corner they dont even have doors on the stalls.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
