Confirmed from Fairmont Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural space with sports fields, a pool, skate park & playground, plus picnic facilities.
What runners say about Fairmont Park
“Very large clean park, we had lunch in the shade and the kids played at the playground.”
“It's a beautiful park with lots of trees and lots of space and I think it's just such a special place”
What an improvement!!! The duck pond is so pretty. Lots of trees, shade, and they have installed walking 🚶♂️ paths with 🌉 bridges. Definitely make a day of it. Lots to 👀 see
Clean park, very family friendly. We enjoyed feeding the ducks while we were there. There is playground for the kids, skateboarding Park, tennis courts, big open field for activities. Large trees and walking trails and benches to rest on.
Fairmont Park is seriously my favorite spot in town! I love coming here because it has everything you could possibly want for a fun and relaxing day outdoors. First off, the dog park is a fantastic place for my pup to run around and play with other dogs.
Love this park, much bigger than you’d expect, and has something for everyone. Great dog park with two areas one with trees and grass and one with gravel and training fixtures. Skate park where I see young and old, new and many super skilled. Open grass fields & pickle ball courts!!!

“Only bummer is it’s hit or miss whether the bathrooms are open or water fountains work.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
