Confirmed from Sugar House Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A nice city park with plenty of open space to enjoy. Lots of people were out taking advantage of the beautiful day. There were even busloads of kids having lunch and doing fun activities. A stream runs through the park, creating some very pretty spots for picture-taking.

Beat park in Salt Lake. The loop is great for walking or biking and the park is incredibly dog and kid friendly. The views are hard to beat though. In early spring, the park sometimes acts as a retention basin for all the run off which is always fun to see.

★★★★★ — Thomas , May 2024

We love this park. Beautiful in the winter and summer. And lots of birds to feed if you like ducks and pigeons and seagulls. The kids sure have a lot of fun. And people are able to jog and walk dogs. And the winner they use the hill for snow sledding.

★★★★★ — Gary , Jan 2024

I have been coming here since I was a kid. This was always my favorite park, and now, having kids of my own, I'm able to let them experience the same joy this place brought to me when I was young. There is so much to do and endless places to explore. We stopped to feed the ducks. Then we ran up some hills.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
