Confirmed from Fillmore Glen State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

In & around a gorge, this densely wooded park is a scenic destination for camping, hiking & fishing.

“There are different events going on at the park , we lucked out for a huge car show on the Labour Day weekend (Sunday) that had a ton of beautiful cars to view.”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“The hiking trails were very well marked plenty of trail blazers.”

Very beautiful state park. Nice and shady walking trails. Well maintained clean. Kids enjoy playing in water falls which are down the lane. It is very safe too. Our family loves the time spend here in lush greens surrounding.

Definitely make the trip to Moravia and check out the beautiful trails, I prefer the Gorge trail, so many cascades and waterfalls this place is a lot less crowded than Watkins Glen and just as beautiful!!! Be prepared to climb stairs and cross over bridges, wear proper clothing and footwear!

While the towns driving to this park were rough…Fillmore Glen its self is fabulous!! First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Dogs are allowed on the gorge trail unlike some other parks. Very impressed with the trail maintenance and signs.

Gorge trail was awesome, both rim trails were very scenic. All trails were well maintained. South rim was moderate hike. North rim from entrance is a steep hike up stairs to start then nice trail after. Also appreciate all the tables and benches along the rim trails especially right at the top of both rim trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“5-mile Gorge Trail for a scenic hike, but it was cut short by a hazardous, out-of-order bridge; a warning sign at the trailhead would have been appreciated.”
