Confirmed from Fitton Green Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly hiking area with a trail system featuring scenic views.
What runners say about Fitton Green Trailhead
“A great view of the valley and Corvallis from the top, and the wildflowers were gorgeous!”
Beautiful hiking trails and views. Connects to the bald hill natural area as well as other trails, making this nice for both short and long hikes.
My family of 6 had a pleasant 15 minute hike to the top and watched a beautiful sunset. Gorgeous views - you won't be disappointed!
Went on a lovely hike with my wife (without the kids) this morning. Got there early, so there was parking, and did a nice loop. It oddly felt uphill the whole time, but it was still nice. A great view of the valley and Corvallis from the top, and the wildflowers were gorgeous!
March 22 weather was nice trails are a little muddy in spots but dry enough. I saw 7 deer a gaggle of Turkeys (not sure what you call a bunch of turkeys but I am sure there is a joke in there). 4.3 miles trails are a flat packed gravel so easy footing. I will say some sections are on the step side.
Trail conditions & character
“Lovely views, not a lot of shade in several parts of the trail, and it was very busy even on a weekday.”
“Not very much parking so it can get tight during popular times like when the sun is setting.”
“You can do a very short loop and see for miles or you can keep going and explore nature while getting a healthy amount of exercise.”
“Things to remember, Be considerate of the people that live there, and put your dog on a leash.”
“Connects to the bald hill natural area as well as other trails, making this nice for both short and long hikes.”
