Confirmed from Woodland Meadow Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Woodland Meadow Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (133 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“A beautifully clean and quiet spot to walk your dog, or the perfect spot to read a book.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“On the East side of Circle, you also get a great view of the cool houses facing the street.”

A beautifully clean and quiet spot to walk your dog, or the perfect spot to read a book. Gigantic lovely trees and a wide-open space to exercise your dog. Clean water in metal bowls is very helpful. The people who come here are friendly and pick up after their dogs. Parking is easy.

Best off-leash dog area in Corvallis. Beautiful in all seasons. Make sure your dogs are under voice command as it is not fenced, and a couple paths lead down to Circle Blvd. It's a nice walking loop for the humans too, and my dog does a great job sticking with me.

★★★★★ — Rebecca , Feb 2024

Great off leash dog park, but not fenced. There is a road on one side and private residences on the other, so it's probably best to have your pup under voice command. Several paths to take including a nice big loop around the park, and a water pump with bowl near the top of the hill.

Excellent dog park. Trail a bit muddy in winter. Best place in Corvallis to watch the sunset. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Jefferson.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
