Confirmed from Flat Rock Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Flat Rock Park
“There’s a well-kept boat ramp with plenty of parking for trailers, and a floating dock.”
“The river views are beautiful especially in the early morning or just before sunset when everything slows down watching everything and the kayakers go by:-) very mellow and steady.”
“Week days is very peaceful and only local people hang out; the weekends a lot of people get there to enjoy the nature there.”
A quiet park on the river. You can walk down to the dam from a dirt access road and sometime see the local township fire department doing water rescue drills.
Since my son was born I've always brought him there! 6 years minimum I've been going there. But through the decades of course I've stopped there when it was just myself or I wanted to bring a girl for a romantic hang out. But now it's all about my boy and I walk in the rivers edge and finding fun stuff!
Nice quite place for sitting by the riverside, though by the road but not too traffic noise. A okay place a Little walk, seat and relax
As a long-time local hike leader and outdoor adventure organizer, familiar with the park as I used to use it as a gathering point, mostly on weekday evenings, for hikes through nearby Gladwyne.
