Confirmed from Florence Rail Trail - McLeod Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area for walking and biking, plus a playground for kids.
What runners say about Florence Rail Trail - McLeod Entrance
“👑🌹It was very beautiful there, they just need to fix the unstable trails there.”
“Love this place, so peaceful and lots of trails to walk, jog, run, or bike on.”
Updated with fall pics! So glad I found this trail! I've walked the McLeod Fitness and Spa trail several times but never knew that the Florence Rail Trail started here as well. I loved the different terrains and the shady path. You get the best of both worlds; natural and a paved path.
This is a nice trail that's great for walking and biking. We went on a Tuesday night and there were a few people there but not many. The trails are nice and shaded.
It is best to walk in the daylight than in the morning because, sometimes the lights go out and it is difficult to see. But
Great place to snap some photos of RC Cars and drive around, just please be respectful of walkers and bikers

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
