Confirmed from Florida Scenic Trail Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

2.7 mile one way trail (easy). Took us about an hour to do one way. It will take you to another parking lot on the north end (426) from the west entrance (Lockwood Blvd). We saw gators in the adjacent creek/mini lake. People were fishing there as well.

You can hike all the way to the Charles H. Bronson WMA and the Florida Trail from here. Pretty great hike, and plenty of places to camp by the Econlockhatchee river.

What a wonderful hike! I stopped here after hiking another trai, and I can't wait to go back for a longer hike. It's charming with a variety of terrain. There is a cute little mini waterfall about a mile in. It's perfect for fun pictures that play with perpective.

My husband and I took our boys and their friend here during spring break. It was super fun to explore! We went pretty far on the path and could have gone further, but the sun was beginning to set, and we didn't want to get caught in the woods in the dark.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
