Confirmed from Folsom Point State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Folsom Point State Park
“Clean and super quiet and that's how we left it.”
“Another beautiful place in our backyard… If you want to escape from Sac, hop on hwy 50 to City of Folsom… truly a lovely city with so many things to do including this state park…”
“"I feel so much more relaxed and energized after visiting this serene place.”
The trail here was very fantastic and enjoyable. I usually walked from the Browns Ravines Trailhead on the other side and the view from the other side was great.
Great place to run long distances. You share trails with bikes and other hikers. Great views of the water!
Great place to round up the walkers. There is a rock dam that is quite impossible for walkers to maneuver. Make sure you wear great hiking boots. Trout are seen, but hard to catch.
Water level is extremely low, but that allows for some nice hikes down to the shore. Plenty of bbq grills and this point has a nice view of the sunset. Not as busy during that time, much more busy during the day. A lot of open space if your pup is trained to be off-leash. If not, good times either way 🤙
