Confirmed from Foothills Trail (Buckley)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Foothills Trail (Buckley)
Excellent paved walking (or running, or biking, or ) Started in Buckley near the Guard building and walked east for about a mile and a half and returned. Lots of shade (depending on time of day) which could really benefit in the summer heat.
Buckley's a nice little town, where I feel as safe as I am going to, and the Foothills Trail is a great place to exercise No matter what your age or level Of health. They've got a little skate park there where people braver than me can shake it out with their boards bikes or whatever and just get loose with it.
The new Doc Tait Pavilion and trailhead in Buckley is great. Local and trail history, wayfinding, and a bathroom are welcome additions to the trail and community. Congrats to the amazing partners who made it happen, particularly Foothills Rails to Trails Coalition.
One of my favorite, not crowded trails. Clean, new and safe. Also, great location.

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
