Confirmed from Forked Run State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Located close to the Ohio River I expected Forked Run State Park to be very scenic and I was not disappointed. The views around the lake are beautiful. Although it's a smaller state park it has all of the amenities of any other state park. Cell phone service is spotty at best.

This was my first time staying at Forked Run and we will definitely be back!! Great fishing, the campsites were great, and the location is great too! Loved the lack of cell service, gave me an excuse to ignore all of my work calls. There was plenty of facilities, and the bathrooms and shower houses were clean.

This was hubby and mines 1st time here. I was looking around on goggle on saw this place. So we thought we'd check it out for this week's hike. We did 3 trails. The 1st one had lots of down trees in the hiking path. It was a bit of a challenging hike but we really enjoyed it! The lake looks awesome!

Cool little waterfall you have to park and walk to. Beware of snakes. Ran across a copperhead there. Lots of trails with mushrooms and other wild things growing. Recommend to bring bug spray 😂

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
