Confirmed from Fort Clinch State Park Main Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Pristine state park featuring a preserved 1800s fort (open for tours), plus a fishing pier and a campground.
What runners say about Fort Clinch State Park Main Entrance
“My favorite spot for gorgeous sunrise walks along the beach & hunting for sharks teeth.”
My favorite spot for gorgeous sunrise walks along the beach & hunting for sharks teeth. The annual pass is definitely worth buying especially if you go once or more monthly.
This is a beautiful and historic state park. We were going here to see the fort as we enjoy history related attractions. The drive back from the main entrance to the fort is, I think, about 4 or 5 miles and it's a lovely drive through just what you'd picture a Florida forest should look like - lots of large oaks…
The main entrance is well kept with good signage. The folks at the main gate are really nice! The drive through the park is absolutely beautiful! Trees on both sides of the street arch over the road, with bike and walking trails zig zaging to beautiful lookout points.
Neat place to check out for some history and sightseeing. Can walk around the fort to the beach as well. Small gift shop/snack shop on your way out.
