Confirmed from Forty Corners Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area for hiking with a bike and tow path, plus a river, and facilities for kids.
What runners say about Forty Corners Trailhead
“Beautiful, convenient place for hiking and biking.”
The towpath has 25 miles through Stark County. This trailhead is about halfway. The trail to the north is typical crushed limestone level pathway that is perfect for hiking, biking, or running. The path to the south runs more directly beside the city of Massillon.
Nice little trail head for the tow path. There are drinking fountains, a place to inflate bike tires, and 1 or 2 picnic benches. Only downside is there aren't a ton of parking spots, so in the summer sometimes it's hard to find a spot.
One of my favorite spots to go for a walk or bike ride. The old muskingum trail begins here and runs along the other side of the Tuscarawas river and ends in canal Fulton.
I start alit of my walls at this trailhead. They have good postings telling you which direction and where to go. Seems to be well maintained!👌
