Confirmed from High Mill Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about High Mill Trailhead
The Buckeye Trail breaks in 2 with the towpath going north to Canal Fulton and Akron and going east on High Mill Rd toward Nimisila Reservoir Campground about 8 miles away. Both trails lead to Mentor to form the Buckeye Little Loop, a ~259 mile trail.
Nice people at the bike shop and at canoe pick up. Kayaks are in decent condition there is a 6mile & 3mile trail & both pretty easy to canoe or kayak. As a result of this years weather there is a lot of fallen trees to maneuver around.
Beautiful quiet place to walk. You can choose the trail along the river or along the railroad tracks. More to see along the river.
