We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Fox Hill Nature Preserve - Nordic Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Fox Hill Nature Preserve - Nordic Trails
“This was a beautiful walk.”
Kettle Moraine conservation area with lots of open and wooded trails. Lots of nice scenery, ponds with frogs. Birdwatching. Lowland marsh to hilltops. Excellent for cross country trail running with moderate to difficult trails. Very technical. No excuses for not maxing out your heart rate. These trails will do it.
This was a beautiful walk. The trails are poorly marked though and I ended up walking longer than I anticipated. There are different trails from prairie to woods. I will definitely be back, but more prepared
Great trails, well groomed, various routes. Perfect for a sunny winter day.
1st winter hike here. Great map, well marked trails and OUTSTANDING terrain. Good exercise and I only walked the west loop. Already looking forward to coming back after snow season. Those ski trails look even more amazing than the hiking routes... ;)
