Confirmed from Gilbert Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil neighborhood park with picnic tables on its lawns, established trees & a labyrinth feature.
What runners say about Gilbert Park
“One of best parks in Yakima it is well maintained and people actually clean up after their fur buddies here !”
“Still, the park remains a peaceful and beautiful spot, and I’ll always have a soft spot for it.”
“With several picknick tables and trees for shade this park is great to bring a lunch and enjoy simply being out of doors.”
“There aren’t any playgrounds or toys, but there’s plenty of open space to relax, walk around, or just enjoy some quiet time.”
“People are friendly seems to be lots of dog lovers who exercise there dogs there!”
Great place to take your dog and your kids! Well maintained grassy areas, tons of room for running and getting out that energy! Our pups new favorite park :)
This park is really special to me — it’s so close to home, and it’s where I had my very first date with my now-husband. It has a lovely grassy area that’s perfect for a picnic or even a cute little photo session.
I enjoy doing my walking meditation at the labyrinth. It would be a perfect 5 if others would respect leash law and scoop the poop. I don't like other dogs running up on me with my dog, who is leashed. Beautiful park despite that.
With several picknick tables and trees for shade this park is great to bring a lunch and enjoy simply being out of doors. The big hill has enough slope for sledding in the winter time and there are 1 pokestop and 1 gym for PoGo.

“I enjoy Gilbert park because of the wide open space, plenty of parking and relatively little use it gets.”
“Only possible downsides are it doesn't have toys or a bathroom but those may be hood things to cause it keeps it quiet and peaceful.”
