Fantastic hike today. There are multiple routes up to the summit. If you have water proof footwear bring it, lots of water on the trail. It is dog friendly and requires a discover pass. Will for sure be going again. Currently has a section decorated for Christmas.
Great trail. If you’re uncomfortable with vegetation closing in, stay on the main trail. It started raining on my little hike and I got nervous about what May decide to come out of hiding. Overall, fantastic hike with ample parking at the trailhead.
Wonderful trail, we enjoyed a picnic by the lake before finishing the loop. Very easy trail, well paved, with breathtaking lake views.
This is a great place to go for an all-day hike. The Gold Creek trail is all up-hill, medium difficulty. There are many other trails that intersect Gold Creek such as Wild Cat Lake Trail, Beaver Pond, and Plummer. There are many dirt roads to hike on also. Just beware of ATVs and dirt bikes.
