The park also has a beach and food concession, a walk-in canoe launch, 11 hiking trails and horse riding trails, a ballfield and volleyball courts, fishing and a fishing pier, and 48 tent and trailer sites…
Camped here in October for fall foliage and had a great time. Should have probably looked at the Penn State home game scheduled though! Park campground was packed with sports ball tail gaters, and traffic getting to the park was a bit much. But totally my fault.
Great hiking area in the winter! Try the old rail cart line! Takes you past the cemetery and splits at the campground. The furnace area is impressive too and the history of the area also, along with the white sand on the beach!
Beautiful clean park with numerous hiking trails around. I went on a quiet Tuesday, so I had a great time exploring the place all by myself. It's a very large park with a beautiful history of Pennsylvania. Free parking, lots of picnic benches, fishing on the falls, bike trails. Can easily spend an entire day.
