Even our dad's in their 60s could do this hike to North Cheyenne Canyon. Beautiful drive there! Bring water for the hike. Bathrooms before you start and camping areas. Free parking. Awesome views at top of Lizard rock!
Easy access to the Flatiron trails! You will need to pay $5 cash for a day's parking permit, or $25 online for an annual permit, if there's parking available. TIP: Get there by 7am to find parking!
Find parking along the road that leads up to the trailhead When you get to the start area there are 3 or 4 different paths you can take. My dear friend suggested the path that we took. It was a pleasant mix of shade, sunshine, views and climate changes. I was impressed by how well maintained the trail was.
Beautiful trails. We took one that leads to Flatiron 1 and 2. The views from the top are breathtaking. It's not an easy hike, but doable. For someone out of shape it might just take longer with breaks.
