Confirmed from Hamlin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hamlin Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (24 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful place that does not need to be developed.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Hamlin Park in Mount Pleasant is a quiet, wooded spot with a short loop trail and a peaceful pond.”

This park/trail is actually in the middle of a neighborhood and as a result part of it is right behind some houses. As you would expect it's a small area, but believe it or not there are enough side-trails to keep you busy in addition to the main loop.

Hamlin Park in Mount Pleasant is a quiet, wooded spot with a short loop trail and a peaceful pond. The path is mostly flat and seems like maybe there was a rail here that's been removed? Parking is easy, and the park is dog-friendly.

Nice 30-minute walk with our dog around the main loop. I noticed several different colors of ribbon on trees, which could confuse first time visitors as trail markings. Stay on the main path which is flat and wide. You'll see several informational signs along the trail.

Nice, beautiful area to walk and take your dog. Sometimes you see wild flowers blooming. Other times you see wild life. I've seen birds, squirrels, deer, turtles, an alligator, and a little emerald green grass snake.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
