Confirmed from Hellman Park Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic park in the Puente Hills offering hiking trails around a reservoir with canyon & city views.

Found this trial when I was looking for an easy hike while on my lunch break. This place is pretty cool and even managed to spy a couple deer just wandering on the trail. The parking is fairly easy (there’s a lot). Definitely recommend for an easy midday/late morning stroll.
What a beautiful place. Managed a quick trail run and will definitely be back! Parking can be tricky in neighborhoods but there are plenty of turn off spots up and down the canyon roads.
Got drunk this morning and invited my wife for a hike...the steep incline sobered me up real quick and once my whining and complaining stopped I was able to catch my breath and noticed the views are crazy.
I tried it out for the first time and its a great workout if you are looking for a challenging hike. The hills are steep and requires some endurance. It has beautiful views when you reach the hilltops! You can even see the Buddhist temple. The only downside is parking sucks, even if you go early.
Trail conditions & character
