We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Hidden Pond Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hidden Pond Park
One of the highest places on long Island, great hiking and biking trails and indoor ice rink
It's a great park with great energy and just a very calming place to be! What people should know is there's two trails that are sort of separate. You have the biking Trail by the Rinx, which is on a steep hill. Then you have the more forest trail near the ball field.
Nice, hilly section of the Greenbelt Hiking Trail, which is excellent for short day hikes. You can go on the connecting trails as far as you like (the full length of the Greenbelt Trail is about 16 miles, traversing LI from north to south.
