This park is a gem I’ve always wanted to visit! The views are spectacular, and the hiking is great. The trails are a bit rough so definitely wear hiking boots! And, there was a guy there with a very friendly wolf hybrid. And lots of happy dogs on the trails! Big thumbs up!
Apologies to New Jersey. I pictured the state as rough suburbs of New York City, urban sprawl, gangster and Atlantic City, dirty seashores and dicey beaches. A bad episode of the Sopranos. High Point State Park is glorious, natural, inspirational and underrated.
One of the best places to experience the beauty of NJ. Nestled in the heart of nature, this spot offers breathtaking views as the leaves transform into vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold. The hiking trails are well-maintained, providing a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility.
High Point State Park, home to the highest point in New Jersey, offers a wealth of material for various writing approaches. Vista of three states (New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania) from the monument at 1,803 feet above sea level.
