Confirmed from Historic Smithville Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic park with hiking paths, picnic tables and a butterfly garden, plus a floating bridge.
What runners say about Historic Smithville Park
“It is very clean and comfortable but it's inconvenient when you're walking the trails.”
“The walking trails are great, the town is beautiful, the park is beautiful, the lake is great.”
“The trail is perfect for easy walking.”
Very scenic location in Burlington County just off of Route 38. Lots of hiking trails and a very cool floating trail across the lake. There is a friendly staffed visitor center and clean bathrooms! I was there in the fall & saw many photographers taking family & engagement like pictures.
I love this park! It has something for everyone. Pet friendly, great history with the mansions and underground railroad museum, and the trails are a must. Lake, fishing, beautiful scenery and wildlife, especially on the trail around the lake which includes the water walkway, and for all you artists permanently setup…
Has so much! Great picnic areas everywhere, lovely views, awesome spots for family photos. Mansion tours, galleries, school house museum, underground railroad museum, trails for walking/ biking, places to canoe and a hidden awesome playground a bit of a drive further on the road.
The trail is perfect for easy walking. Well maintained and beautiful. It has a play area for kids and restrooms 🚻 too. The floating bridge is fun for little ones. If you are looking for hike. This might not be your place, but it is perfect for simple walking and biking. Lake was frozen for the most part.
