Confirmed from Historic Smithville District's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded lakefront park provides nature trails, fishing, a museum, visitor center & butterfly garden.

This is a very nice and well maintained park. there are a variety of dirt hiking trails and stone/clay trails. The trails do a nice job following the river and lake that winds through the park. Pros. nice long walking trials. We walked for about 4 miles exploring the whole park.
This was my first time here. I absolutely loved it! Great walking trails, I took my dog in her stroller and it was fine. There are steps in some areas; we carried the stroller up or down. Great place to go w the kids. They have a playground, places to sit and eat, gazebos. Great date idea.
I really enjoyed the guided tour that I had of the Smithville Mansion. Cathy, the tour guide, provided a very interesting and enthusiastic tour. The history of H.B. Smith, his family and his company were interesting. There are also many interesting artifacts in the house.
A stunningly beautiful place to walk, take photos and even propose! As an early couple my partner and I would spend a lot of time walking around the lake and going through the garden. This is also where he proposed and it couldn't have been more perfect!
