A few years ago my lovely wife took me to Hopelands Gardens. This was my first visit there, and it was a very nice, relaxing walk around the grounds! Very enjoyable. We didn't get to explore everywhere due to my mobility issues, but I felt like we did cover a lot of the grounds.
The park doesn’t have the same care put into it as it did a few years ago but it’s still a nice hallmark to have here in Aiken. It’s gorgeous in the fall and even though the Christmas lights were lacking this year compared to other years, it’s free and beautiful to walk through.
This is a great park to walk around and visit for free. It's a gem in the city. They have the major trees labeled and you can learn about them by calling a local 803 number. There are fountains, trees, and plenty of benches to sit and relax near the theater.
Several times a year we visit the serenity here. Spring is our favorite. Everyone enjoys the music and lights at Christmas, everyone loves the colors of Fall, but the magic of Spring and all of the turtles, the flowers, the Koi pond and the crisp newness of the promise of our new year, this is my absolute favorite.
