This park is beautiful. We were able to walk about 8 miles of trails (many more miles of trails available for walking/biking). It's a great combination of sunny/shady trail, foliage, beautiful lakes and wildlife. I absolutely recommend this park, within walking distance of the beach too.
Say hi to Lefty, the local legend, 3-footed alligator who seems to be completely comfortable with people and bikes around. We spotted one of her babies sunning this afternoon as well 🙂 The (paved) trail is very popular with e-bikes and walkers as well. SUPER clean restrooms.
Super nice and kept up! Plenty of benches and picnic tables along the way to rest, even clean bathrooms along the trails! They had things along the way even for the children to play on. We saw turtles, alligators, and lots of beautiful nature! I would definitely recommend taking the family and make a day of it!
The paths were easy to access with a stroller. The board walk is elevated so the risk of wildlife is minimal. Especially walking with a toddler. Multiple restrooms and resting areas.
