Confirmed from Wade Ward Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

We really enjoyed biking these trails while visiting the gulf. Each trail we rode was walking and biking friendly and super clean! We loved looking at the wildlife and appreciated the signs along the way.

We always make it a point to go to this board walk when in Gulf Shores. We love looking for all the wildlife, especially gators! We stop at Rita’s first and then walk over and enjoy our treat while walking. Win win!

I go every day to look for Pelicans! Tons of them this week! Lots of White Egrets too. Awesome place to take a cup of coffee and just hang out. So peaceful. You can easily walk to the beach from here.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
