Confirmed from Huron River Path MetroPark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly, kid-friendly park with picnic tables and forest hiking trails.
What runners say about Huron River Path MetroPark
“Absolutely beautiful and so full of all sorts of forest happenings to see :) you'll be glad you went, but just don't forget to wear bug repellent!”
“Nice path, perfect for a nice walk or run”
My friend and I loved this place. There's even a porta potty. The first time we were here we saw a doe and a fawn cross the trail right in front of us. The only thing.. is you can't see the water for the dense vegetation along the water side. We would have enjoyed seeing a little bit of the gorgeous river view.
It's a nice walk down the old railroad bed, with another little loop off the parking lot. Not a lot of great scenery, but there is a bridge with a nice little view of the river further down the path.
We took a bike ride here. It's a pretty place to ride or walk. There's a porta-potty at the entrance. It was about 3:00pm and there were only a few people walking (a few walking dogs). There was some grass growing on the pathway; but, it was mowed short. There are some benches to rest along the way.
Absolutely great place to take the family just to get Outdoors get some exercise seeing nature and all of its beauty it's a really nice preserve you're going to see a lot of birds and wildlife if photography is your thing you're definitely going to enjoy that so whether it's a picnic or just walk with the missus…
