Shhhhh! If you tell everyone how nice Lake Front Park in Huron, Ohio (Lake Erie) actually is it will become way too crowded. It's better to keep it a secret. This beautiful city park with paved paths, benches, and grassy areas with large shade trees flows directly to a clean sunny sand beach.
Growing up my grandparents had a cottage 4 miles east of Huron (Strawberry Fields) and unfortunately it is no more, so I wanted somewhere close to bring me as near and dear as I could to the cottage and this place is pretty much it. Although, last year, I did stumble upon Old Women’s Creek beach.
Beautiful park. Playground, restrooms and a beach all in a short walking distance to a couple local restaurant/bars.
Nice shady park lots of benches to set popular beach and walking trails to the light house.
