Confirmed from Hurricane Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hilly trail-lined park and creekside escape featuring barbecue grills, swimming spots, and picnic tables.
What runners say about Hurricane Creek Park
“Well maintained local park that is a beautiful slice of nature!”
“This place is beautiful the hiking trails are filled with scenery full of animal life and t hee water is so clear and refreshing I have lots more to explore here so stay tuned”
We love visiting this beautiful place. The water is so clear and the people are friendly. We also love taking hikes through the trails. Be careful walking down to the water because there is a place that has a small stream of water going over it and it's very slippery. My husband fell and broke 2 ribs.
Small but nice park. Spent a little over an hour there, walking the water way. There are Trails throughout the wooded area. Will have to check them out the next time. Plenty of parking, bathrooms and pavilion. When coming here get here early, tends to get over populated around 1pm..
Just moved here from Cali and desperately needed a hiking home-based. Trails arnt that long but there is a stunning creek view and alot of different style terrain. I'm also a climber and there was some really cool rock and boulder formations
Beautiful park. My daughter always has a fantastic time here. They have restrooms up the hill near parking. The park ranger, Mr. Harris, stops by regularly so it's safe here too!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
