Confirmed from Hypoluxo Scrub Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What an incredible hidden spot to visit for a nature fix! Luckily my best friend is from the area so he took me here for a morning hike. You would never guess this place existed where it is located but if you are looking at this review I would highly recommend going. Here is why: 1.

A pleasant suprise. Was looking for a place to walk after going out to eat. The 2 large and easily accessible observation towers were inptessive for the location, 3 out of 4 directions you are getting views of rooftops and parking lots but the view south into the natural area was good.

Just a couple of minutes of Rt 95 and you feel like you are in the backwoods of old Florida. When you pull into this park you know it’s different. Parking spots are in a few areas mostly around the main circle just inside the park entrance. I’m sure it’s often hard to find a spot on weekends.

this park is all you could expect from a Natural Scrub area ...and some interesting educational features. Covered elevated platforms are available to oversee the area with an opportunity for exercise walking the stairways. A statue of the Barefoot Mailman stands tall with dedication and info plaques.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
